Gerry Lamont, Owner

There probably isn’t a development problem, roadblock, hurdle or obstacle that Gerry hasn’t seen and can’t solve either with his vast knowledge of the whole building and development process – or simply by strapping on the tool belt he keeps in his vehicle. With his experience supervising the construction of over a thousand homes in his home building days, as the former VP of Cardel Homes, one of Calgary’s largest housing companies, Gerry probably has helped put roofs over the heads of more Calgarians than almost any other Calgarian.


Roy Moore, Owner

As a Kiwi-Canadian, Roy is a professional engineer with more than 32 years experience in all aspects of land development including former Calgary branch manager of Qualico Calgary, one of Alberta’s largest developers and serving on numerous boards such as former Chairman of UDI Calgary, Board of Directors for UDI Alberta and Secretary of Calgary Home Builders Association.  Roy is a master of the intricacies of the municipal planning process. That means that Lamont projects – like the numerous subdivisions he has overseen – move though the approvals process quickly. And that means we save time and money – savings we pass on to our investors and home buyers.


Randy Sieben, General Manager

Randy joined us in August of 2009 after 20 years of senior management with Melcor Developments, a large publically traded real estate company along with serving on numerous boards such as former Chairman of UDI Edmonton and Board of Directors for UDI Alberta. With his considerable experience in developing residential, commercial, industrial and recreational projects in both Alberta and British Columbia, and having worked in most of the major markets throughout Alberta, Randy brings a strong development knowledge base to our Company. He firmly believes that building strong professional relationships is the key to long term success in our industry.


Susan Westersund, Office Administrator

With nearly 40 years experience in the land development industry in Calgary, including 16 years at Lamont, Susan’s wealth of knowledge combined with administrative and computer skills keeps things running smoothly. In fact, if she doesn’t know the answer to a question, she always knows who will.  She has recently become the ”go to”  person for marketing, enjoying the challenge of learning and keeping up with new trends and marketing ideas. 


John Gordon, Project Manager & Partner for Ryders Ridge

In one of John’s previous lives, he was the developer of Marina Bay in Sylvan Lake AND he’s also a chartered accountant. That’s a unique and very valuable mix of skills, and it gets especially interesting when his “bean counter” persona wants to question his developer’s vision of what’s best for Ryders Ridge.


Phil Moore, P.Eng – Project Manager

This apple didn’t fall far from the tree. Yes, Phil is Roy Moore’s son, with the same passion and enthusiasm for work and play that obviously runs in the family. After graduating with honors from the University of Calgary with a degree in Civil Engineering, and then earning his stripes and professional designation and practicing as a professional engineer with a multi-disciplinary civil engineering firm, Phil has a solid background in the land development business.


Don Coverdale – Controller

It’s not often that you can hire a new employee who already has over 15 years experience with your company. Following a 10+ year stint with one of Calgary’s better known land developers, Don successfully ran his own small company providing accounting services and software (of which Lamont was just one of his satisfied customers).


Corinne Coverdale – Senior Accountant, Accounting & Finance

With several of experience in the home building industry, Corinne easily transferred her talents and expertise to the complex land development portfolios that Lamont manages. Since she has been at Lamont, she has taken a special interest in company analysis, reporting and financing and is looking forward to the new and interesting opportunities arising with the growth of the company. For something completely different, Corinne recently achieved her certification in dog training, and is putting her new talents to work by volunteering at the Cochrane Humane Society.


Christine Hampton – Administrative Assistant

In her role as Administrative Assistant, Christine brings over 20 years experience in administration with 10 of those specifically geared towards the land industry. She is an honours graduate of S.A.I.T.’s Land Administration program.  Christine is an excellent detail-oriented person and her friendly and helpful attitude are a great fit for our company.


Holly Doell – Accountant

Holly brings with her 12 years of accounting experience. This mother of 4 amazing girls has easily transferred her patience and multi-tasking abilities to the Lamont team. She is currently working towards her Bachelor of Applied Business Administration Degree at SAIT and is looking forward to the continued growth at Lamont. Holly loves new adventures and travel and has recently taken up running half marathons, just for fun!


Chelsea Kanderka – Accountant

Chelsea is the newest member of our team, with an extensive background of working for larger financial institutions. She has completed courses in business administration, applied financial services and real estate development and she’s now obtaining her Certified Financial Planning designation. But Chelsea’s not all work and no play. In 2007 she travelled in Europe and worked in Holland for most of a year. These days she keeps fit and active playing ringette twice a week.
